Melnichenko Got Another Big Yacht

Sailing Yacht at the latest venture of Andrey Melnichenko the billionaire from Russian is the eighth tallest yacht in the world.


The yacht is ready and will go for final testing before being delivered to the owner.

The estimated cost of the yacht is $450 million, and according to the reports the yacht is taller than the Statue of Liberty. It has the length of about 143-meters. It has three masts of carbon masts and each has the measurement of over than 90 meters. This is the tallest of any boat.  The best part of these masts is all three are able to withstand the wing of a commercial Boeing Dreamliner which is it’s twice the weight.

The boat has been designed for a speed of 16 knots (Cruising speed) (18 mph). The maximum speed of 21 knots (24 mph). The yacht has been named on the recommendation of its going to be owner Andrey Melnichenko Sailing Yacht A. The “A” name has been kept with objective keeping the yacht in front row in the shipping registers. Melnichenko has another yacht with the name “A” at the front. Nomination Open For USA Sailing Coach

Committee for US Sailing’s Olympic Sailing (OSC) is inviting nomination for coach of the year (United State Sailing Coach), for the year 2016.


The committee will honor coaches of America for sailing in five categories for their remarkable work in the field. The contribution will include work done at national, international and youth level.

The five categories in which award will be given are the national coach of the year, development coach of the year, Volunteer coach of the year, Paralympic coach of the year, “Doc” councilman science award. The award will highlight the contribution of coaches in training of athletes at all the levels. This includes national, international, youth and Paralympic.

The nomination should have following information which five coaching award the coach is nominated for, coaching record of 2016 coach nominee, recognition and honors received by the nominee in year 2016 for his/her contribution, description of service of the nominee and support he/she has provided to sport in the year 2016 and contact number, email ID for both the nominee and the person who is doing nomination. The American Cup Class

During the 2016-2017 cup season, we have witnessed three different designs so far. It goes through different iterations every year. And it has become part of it.

We finally have the schedule for the 35th America’s Cup. So, the time has to take a closer look at the boats that are going to be in the competition. We can take a closer look at the boats which are being used in the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup Class (ACC). These two events are scheduled for 2017, May and June respectively. The First Yacht Of America’s Cup

Did you know that the first yacht sailed for the America’s Cup in 1851? For those who wish to relieve those times, they will get to see a real life replica of the same as the historic schooner has been replicated and the historic yacht will make an appearance in Southport Harbor this month.
